SPRITUALISM, THE NEED OF THE HOUR….
Spirituality, a feeling instilled in every human being either good or bad, obviously I am not including atheists in my scheme of things. Because as I feel, there is a GOD in everyone and so is the DEVIL, you just need to discover either of them. The good and the bad are made after they discover either of these things. And atheists don’t belong to any of these categories. They are egoists who want to place themselves different from the normal being. As if they belong to a different world. In simple words if I describe this effeminate, they will still say OH MY GOD when they are need. They try to feign that they don’t believe in these things but they do. I can only say one thing that there is no one who is an atheist but it is just a word in English dictionary to fill in those thick oxfords. Anyways I would like to come back to the topic or belief I want to share.
Let me first give you a brief introduction of Spiritualism. It is a kind of religion that started in 1800s and flourished in late 1800s and early 1900s. The belief or say the religion called as spiritualism has some points to follow as set by the National Spiritualism Society of Churches. They are:
1. We believe in god
2. God is in nature
3. We should always abide by the rules of nature
4. We should know what is good and the bad
5. We never die
6. We are always connected to spirits
7. Insistence in religion
8. Be kind and do good, same thing will happen to you
9. Every day is a new beginning.
What I said in above four lines and nine points were all bookish. And I don’t want to present my thoughts confined or say influenced by the books or the verses written by sages of all religion. I want to bring out the modern time and the people living in this modern world and their thoughts about spiritualism. Everyone, be him of any religion is well versed about his holy book, be it The Bible, Shri Bhagwad Gita, The Koran, so talking about these books will be like adding more sugar to already too sugary tea. I want to stir that cup of tea without adding extra sugar and bring out the meaning of all those old teachings, which have been buried somewhere in our minds. I want to exhume that spiritualism which is somewhere inside everyone.
Betrayal, rage, breaking of trusts, and many more serious crimes in this KALIYUGA has settled a thick mud on our heart and mind. It is needed to be brushed and made sure that we bring back same good old times.
GOD created both good and the evil at the same time. HE never wanted to destroy any one of them but always wanted to see THE GOOD win over THE EVIL. Because EVIL only determines the value GOOD has and always had from the beginning. Every mythology says the same thing, no matter if it is Chinese, Roman, Greek, Turkish, Egyptian, African or Celtic. May be the GOD’s name is different but every GOD have elicited the same truth. If either of them is over from the world, the nature may lose her balance. From SATYUGA, both of them were present and they will be there till this world is in existence. The GOOD has always prevailed over EVIL but in this KALIYUGA , we have belief that EVIL is prevailing over the GOOD. But I have a different opinion about this firm belief. I think that it is not EVIL that is prevailing but the GOOD has been so submissive inside us that even if we try hard to bring it out, we fail miserably.
Presenting some examples and then saying my view should not harm me. So I want to elicit few examples. Eve teasing, a very serious issue faced by modern women, and when it takes an ugly turn it ends up to people getting desperate and breaking all the barriers from harassing the female to kidnapping them and government is doing so many different things to stop it but it hasn’t. Slogans come that we need to wake up and stop these wrong doings but the end result is zero. And let me tell you, this eve teasing is not a new thing to the world, it has started from the age of RAMA and RAVANA. But can you tell me why THE RAMA was able to punish THE RAVANA and why we are not able to punish these felons?? Let me answer this for you, THE RAMA also had to gather an army or group of people, who were there to support him and end this crime, but who do we have. If one tries to stop also, those felons make sure that this modern day RAMA is testing the dust. So next time no one tries to stop this modern day RAVANA. It has been proved that one person cannot win a war against an army. THE RAMA wasn’t all alone to face the army of THE RAVANA, but today modern day RAVANA has his entourage but modern day RAMA is all alone. The fight for the property has not started in this KALIYUGA but has been a mark since THE MAHABHARATA, but PANDAVAS has SHRI KRISHNA to be the charioteer and show them the path. Today no one wants to be on the wheels and show the path instead they want to take a back sit. KAIKAYI was the first mother to become the victim of crookedness of her maid MANTHARA but she was not the last. But she has son like RAMA to gracefully embrace her any order. In modern times no one does. One can argue that these people were the incarnation of GOD but my point is, we cannot be like RAMA, SHRI KRISHNA and ARJUNA, but can certainly find the shades of their being and principals inside us so that we know what is good and bad, and the same we try to show to the world, which has lost all the charm under the heavy dust poured over it by time and growing EVIL.
The GOOD has to build a strong force to counter these EVILS eating our society. And this can only come when we will start to discover the GOD inside us. Attain the spirituality which has taken a back sit in this modern era. We need to get close to THE ALMIGHTY for the sake of our own peace and satisfaction. A person alone cannot change the world, he can only be a torch bearer. And as of now someone has to come and show the world the path of spiritualism and throw light on the good things we have inside us. Bring that belief back that we have that GOD inside us who can give us back the strength and the force to counter the EVILS outside the world or inside ourselves. Betrayal, lies, anger are some of the EVILS inside us, which dominates in few people. We need to counter those feelings by love, affection and most importantly by showing them the path of spiritualism.
We need to get close to THE GOD and the only way to attain it is by spirituality, so that we are able to discover ourselves and fight all those RAVANAS by our sheer willingness to be good. The day this is achieved I believe that day things will change for the better. All those teachings and preaching VEDAS has to say about will be followed and the GOOD will again rise to stand like a GLADIATOR. The path is full of thorns and with every move we need to give tests but without hard work and strong determination we cannot attain THE ULTIMATE SALVATION and THE ULTIMATE SPIRITUALISM. We should not bother about the result, we should do our duty of doing GOOD and the rest will follow. Remember the eighth point of spiritualism. And the same is said in GITA also:
“ KARMNAYEVADHIKARSTE MAA PHALESHU KADACHAN
MAA KARMPHALHETUBHURMA TE SANGOSTAVAKARMANI “
